Uses | It is a solvent for food colors and flavours, and in the paint and plastics industries. It is used as a heat transfer medium, to control viscosity, to dissolve active agents or protect against corrosion. It is used in high-performance reinforced plastic laminates, gel coats, and sheet moulding compounds, among other goods. It is a component of many commercial paints and varnishes, where it acts as an intermediate, and cleaners and laundry detergents, and as a stabilizer. |
