Mono Ethanol Amine

MEA is mainly used in sweetening natural gas and coal gas, and as soap or amides in heavy-duty detergents.

Monoethanolamine is also used in the production of ethylene amines.  

In manufacture of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, soil fumigants and sterilant.

It is used in manufacturing of anticonvulsant and tranquilizers.

It is also used in manufacturing of engineering resins, lube oil refining and enamel coating.
