| Uses | Acetyl chloride is used in the manufacturing of
organic compounds, dyes and pharmaceuticals. It is an important acetylation reagent. Acetyl chloride is also used as catalyst for
chlorination of carboxylic acids. It is widely used in the field of pesticides,
pharmaceuticals, new electroplating complexing and many other fine organic
chemicals synthesis.
It is also useful as an important reactant in
Friedel-Crafts reactions as well as in the introduction of an acetyl
